Transactions and Title Work. We represent individuals and
businesses in the purchasing, financing, leasing and selling of
all types of real estate, whether that is a single family "starter"
home, or a large commercial property. We are agents for First American
Title Insurance Company; Fidelity National Title Insurance Company
and Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company.
Leasing. We represent both landlords and tenants in negotiating
and preparing leases for, commercial and residential properties.
We are also here if things go poorly and litigation becomes necessary.
Property Law Litigation. We represent individuals and businesses,
including title insurance companies in all types of property law
cases including easement issues and boundary disputes; title defects;
adverse possession and tax appeals.
Permitting. We can assist with obtaining all necessary state
and local land use permits for any real estate project.
Financing. We represent individuals and businesses in all
types of commercial financing. We represent lenders and have significant
experience with SBA lending.
Business Formation. There are many types of business entities
to choose from when starting a business. We can provide advice on
the advantages of the different organizations and will work with
you to make the choice best fitted for your situation.
Mergers, Acquisitions and Sales. We assist both large and
small business owners in the purchasing of businesses, whether that
is a stock or an asset purchase or sale. We can help with the planning,
negotiation and drafting of the documents of transfer, including
representing our clients at closing.
Estate Planning and Administration. We can assist you developing
a document that will achieve your goals for the distribution of
your assets so that your wishes are met. We also assist clients
in the administration of estates and trusts, whether or not the
estate is in probate or not, and whether the client is and administrator,
beneficiary, executor or trustee.
Powers of Attorney. We provide both health care and financial
powers of attorney, including "living wills" and "durable
powers of attorney for health care" to express client's wishes
in the future in case they are unable to do so.
Second Homes. We have over a decade of experience in representing
clients purchasing vacation homes, investment properties and condominiums
throughout all of Vermont. If you are considering purchasing a property
there, consult us and we can either assist you with that transaction
or make sure that you are represented by counsel who is experienced
in the area and will take care of your interests.
